Star Wars Interview of the Day was started in October 2012 by David Delgado and John Laskaris. David Delgado has been conducting interviews with the celebrities of the Star Wars universe for years, and used to post interviews at his fan site EchoBaseNews.com. EBN closed its virtual doors in June 2012. Now, in addition to joining John Laskaris and Ruari Williamson in bringing fans the latest exciting interviews, David is archiving dozens of his in-depth interviews from the EBN days here at this new blog.

David Delgado has been professionally involved with Star Wars fan sites for five years. In early 2008 at the age of fourteen he started EchoBaseNews.com, which grew to become a widely recognized website that eventually participated in the official weekly Q&A sessions with the Hasbro Star Wars brand management team. He has covered San Diego Comic Con every year since 2009, and in 2011 he wrote several entries for JediTempleArchives.com's popular Research Droids Reviews column as one of their first guest contributors. David has also been featured on Dark Empire Radio, in the Coruscant Underbelly webazine, and on The Star Wars Underworld's collecting roundtable podcast.
Since closing EBN, David has joined the staff of Sandtroopers.com and is in charge of coordinating the large fan site's West Coast operations. He recently completed a successful private autograph signing with Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actor Chris Edgerly, who played Jedi Council member Eeth Koth in Season 2 of the show. David is planning to debut the Sandtroopers.com Autograph Trading Card Series at the San Jose Super Toy Show in December 2012, with Chris Edgerly featured as the first signer. He also holds the title of Social Media Director at Sandtroopers.com, and can often be found interacting with other fans on the site's official Facebook page.
